Sean, don’t be that guy. Do the right thing for the people. You are supposed to be their shepherd, not their business manager. The Church desperately needs solid catechesis. This school provides it. Don’t complain that Catholics don’t believe in the Eucharist and have a big ballyhoo Year of the Eucharist, then close a school that TEACHES true Catholic doctrine.

I attended this school from Kindergarten through eighth grade, graduating in 2012. It provided me with an amazing foundation both academically and as a Catholic. I would not be the person, student, or Christian that I am today without SJS.

I’m not even Catholic and I feel this is awful. The poor kids at my nephew’s school in Kingston were also disenfranchised by Sacred Heart with just a few months notice leaving the 9-12 grades scrambling to find another school. It’s sad. Just plain sad.

Save the children's Catholic Education and please don't displace them. It is hard enough for all of us dealing with a pandemic, riots and destruction, ending school early. If it is hard for us adults, it is doubly hard for children especially the younger ones.
