St. Elizabeth is the only chruch that has full-time Deaf ministry. Due to it special ministry - it should remain open and NOT be merged to another parish. Too many orgainzations for Deaf have been closed because of economics...and not focusing on the support needed in the Deaf community.

The parishioners at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, particularly those in the deaf community who come from all over the Archdiocese, need to be able to stay together and worship together in their church. Please keep this beautiful place open.

So sad that a ministry organized by God for God's glory would be taken away by the very men that say they dedicate their live to Christ. True Religion is to serve the needy.

Please keep this wonderful church, which caters to the deaf community, open. This is the ONLY one in the greater New York area, and it would a great loss for the parishioner, who need to worship here.

The Archdioces of New York cannot and should not schedule church closing based solely on the almighty dollar. This church is serving the needs of a special community and this should be the MOST IMPORTANT consideration of Cardinal Dolan. If no other church accomodates the deaf then the decision is clear. Keep St. Elizabeth 's OPEN!!

Such a beautiful church built in 1893. It should remain a church as part of NYC's historic legacy.
