The council confirmed today that the closure proposal for St Brigid's is officially withdrawn. This result secures the school in its current form and prevents the merger from proceeding. We will monitor the local policy updates to ensure this remains a permanent decision.

St Brigid's school Denbigh is an amazing school- high results, brilliant ethos, family atmosphere, lovely building and views. Denbighshire Council are trying to close this school and merge it. They wish to make a new school with over 900 pupils (more likely will be 1200+) This will lose the family atmosphere, small classes and amazing ethos. We have started showing the council that we will not let this school go- please continue to support

We need to hit the one hundred signature threshold before I finalize the formal letter to the Denbighshire Council planning department. Reaching this target immediately will provide the necessary leverage for our upcoming meeting with the cabinet members.

Ridiculous decision. 900+ pupils is way too many for any school to handle effectively. keep the classes small like they are now!!!!

St Brigids is a pillar of the community. merging it into some massive factory school is such a bad idea. keep it open for the future generations of Denbigh.
