I drive through the village every morning and night and find the area beautiful. Don't spoil a wonderful landscape that we pride ourselves from having in this country. Save the green belt

main point would be any gap between Springwell and Eighton Banks would just about vanish. Another point is recent flooding in Springwell to 3 feet in places was attributed parly to surface water run-off which could only be increased if more hoses were to be built in green belt..............

Just what is the point of a greenbelt if it can be sold off. Sunderland City Council ignore it to the detriment of Washington, so we are fast becoming an appendage to Sunderland sprawl. As much as I like Springwell, I'd hate it to become annexed to Washington by this an future disregard of precious greenbelt.

It is SO important this greenbelt is saved otherwise Springwell area will become a totally built-up brown belt where there'll be nowhere where anyone can breathe in fresh air. We can't keep selling up land Just to dig it up to make rich builders richer and allowing our air become poorer for future children.

Villages must be protected and conserved and green belt is the only divide to stop urban spread.
