Save the garden! It's so beautiful!

Please preserve the garden. It's a wonderful example for children and adults alike. It pays for itself by not needing any additional water beyond local rainfall and it's just beautiful. I would be very sad to see it go.

This is a treasure that should not be destroyed!

My sister student taught at Enota under Nellie Hill. I taught there and my next door neighbor for 35 years worked in the lunchroom while I taught at Enota. My three children attended Enota and later, my granddaughter was there for three years. Please keep the “Enota Traditions” alive.

Save the Garden! Save Tradition! Save Gainesville City Schools! This goes much deeper than the "dirt" that Dr. Creel is talking about moving. WE have got to stand up and make a stand and save our schools! Thank you to those who have written letters and voiced your opinions, you WILL make a difference!

Tradition and innovation can coexist. It just takes desire and a willingness to work for a common goal.

I am not yet a parent, but I intentionally chose to purchase a home in the Enota district so my children could go there when I did have them. Enota Elementary is unique to Hall county, a special place in a crowd of cookie cutter, sterile feeling schools. The uniqueness of the school is largely influenced by the gardens that surround it. Those gardens are more than something pretty to look at - they create a magic for students not found in a bland school. Not to mention many learning opportunities and connections to education. If the Enota we know disappears, this county is losing one of the last few things that make it worth living in. What's next, plowing down the Square for a Costco? Starbucks and McDonalds on every corner is hardly a bragging right. More pavement and standardized run of the mill industrialization? No thank you. A future where my children learn applicable life skills from their day at a school with more than just books and tan painted concrete cinders? Yes, please.

Preserve the garden so future generations can experience a wonderful learning journey.

Surely a way can be found to preserve the garden. It adds so much to our children's educational experience and as evidenced by the number of signatories, it binds our community together.

We must preserve nature and its beauty in doing so we teach our children to respect this earth! We must save our garden which has been an extremely beneficial learning tool for our children!

Please, please save this oasis of beauty for our children -- and ourselves.

Smartville Gardens of Enota are a pristine model for the National Wildlife Federation movement to create Eco-Schools and Schoolyard Habitats throughout the United States.

As a gardener and grandfather of 2 students currently attending Enota Elementary, I feel this important heratige is too important to lose.

I have watched the Smartville garden grow as an amazing addition to our community as well as to the school. The landscaping is extraordinary but I am also impressed with the water conservation system as a teaching tool worthy of study by the entire community. To destroy this amazing garden would be tragic.

This is a breathtaking garden that has clearly taken years of commitment to atain the level of beautify if holds. I am shocked to hear that it is even being considered to destroy it!

I have three grandchildren attending Enota Elementary School and as a retired teacher understand the benefits my grands have gained through the experiences this garden provides. Not only are they learning, but young ones need to be outdoors and have the opportunity to move around with the added benefit of learning being fun.

Don't throw away this wonderful learning environment! So many schools dream of a resource like Smartville Garden. Do the right thing!
