The tax changes have not been well thought out, they would hurt the middle class, are anti-business, and discourage people to be bold, creative, and contribute to the growth of our economy. What we need is to have more small and medium businesses, and fewer corporate giants in Canada.

This matter has not had a proper consultation process. Just another way the Liberal government is looking at hurting the middle class. They should be come more accountable to those which voted them in when it comes to their own spending measures. They seem to be out of touch.

Mr. Gerretsen,
Please oppose this change. It is not fair to "move the goalposts" for businesses that have been operating under a long established set of tax laws.

My postal code is K7M 4X5.
I am greatly concerned that the government continues to pile on taxes. I have had years where my income was negative, where I couldn't afford to pay the gas bill to heat my house. I, unlike government employees and MPs, have not been gifted with a pension. Attempts to destroy our ability to retain assets in our company so that we can build our companies or to force us to dump money into RRSPs starve our companies, stop our growth and penalize us for trying to build our companies and this country.

The gov't proposes to take away the ability of small businesses to save funds for retirement in their corps. Some have been doing this for many years and are about to be punished for that. The amount of lost (and never to be recovered) RRSP room (as a result of paying dividend compensation rather than salary) is a big issue that nobody seems to be talking about.

Thank you for this initiative. This is a terrible policy which will negatively impact the country's ability to create all the jobs for the middle class that the Liberals are campaigning for.
