50 jobs created by this development competing with town centre hotels will mean 50 jobs lost as smaller hotels go out of business. Right opportunity for Skegness but wrong location

it would be a very selfish move from the council to sell the Pier field, least of all for a for a Premiere Inn or any other major chain hotel. Like there isn't enough accommodation available for visitors to the area. Such a building would be a great eyesore to our shoreline. Perhaps the council can put their heads together and come up with great uses for this area that would please both residents and tourists alike. Some brilliant events have been held here in the past years, although unfortunately not regular enough. Personally I'd be more than happy to pay for great events held here, especially if it meant saving such an excellent bit of land in our town. A major hotel chain will not do our community favors buy bringing in more tourist to the area but instead will see local businesses struggle losing custom to a big firm. The best way to bring in new tourist to the area would be to make better use of the space creating regular attractions to draw people in.

i think its disgusting that the council think a hotel is an attraction for middle of a seafront if you going to ruin greenland put that land to good use and put something better than the blackpool tower there to attract visitors chuck lenny henrys hotel down the other end nr the skate park to create a flow to the town

the pier field is a valuable piece of ground on our for sore that should used for the soul purpose for outdoor functions attractions displys or entertainment to benefit the town the holiday makers and people of Skegness,to put a hotel on that land would be sacrilege ,and if the ELDC lets this happen then it's obvious we have a council that doesn't care about the communities wishes and selfish to sell it for there mismanagement of the area to bolster there allowance for next year as they have to find extra money ,but that's no excuse to offer that site when other sites are available. It's only the ELDC that pointed this land out to the premiere inn that the want it now,,that land should no

Stated at two premier inns not impressed Stoke on trent below average room (comfortable bed tho ) only just warm breakfast And in Nantwich the room was ok carpet torn and the breakfast was in a pub next door with a hygiene rating of 3 so i won't be using it if it was to go ahead. So leave our little seaside town alone. I have heard there's lots of empty space on the moon .

It should be used for parking as I know of people that have turned round at Skegness and gone home as they couldn't park anywhere, what's the point of enticing more visitors when they can't park.
