It would be a crying shame to lose a gem of a course through cutbacks.........franchise it , privatise it ......even turn into 9 holes ...just don't let it go ...if Widnes can reinvest into opening st Michaels as a 9 hole complex ,surely money can be made to keep sherdley operating ..

how on earth have you come to the decision to close a community that's run for 44 years and does so much good for our local communities? i.e. our captain works tirelessly every year to give thousands of pounds to local needy and deserving charities? in fact we all do by supporting him, the social aspect of this stupid and ignorant decision will resonate with people for years to come!! how the hell people like you got elected mystifies me and the fact you are making these decisions by doing it without discussion and behind closed doors is cowardly and disgusting to say the least, and how you have the nerve to take away pets corner from the kids and parents? how do you sleep at night? You should be putting money in and making it the top course in the northwest like it used to be!!! and attract more people, and your doing this why? to save a few bob? I wish you would get the hell out of our town because we don't need people like you running it!! fact.

The town needs lovely green parks & nice local facilities for children & families & local community- there is ample space all over St Helens, offices should be built on the M62 between Warrington Gemini & St Helens junction,

The park & its environment should remain for the enjoyment of St Helens residents as it was intended. Not everyone who enjoys golf can afford expensive club fees, the golf club gives them the opportunity to enjoy the sport at an affordable cost & to share it with their children & family thereby promoting the health & wellbeing of themselves & the sport itself. Families enjoy visiting pets corner which is particularly beneficial for people with special needs. To lose this would be a detriment to the town. The council need to seriously look at other options.
