In a time when we should be encouraging fitness it seems madness to reduce the amount of facilities.

Feel sorry for the animals at pets corner at the moment needs a massive overhaul then maybe charge a small admission fee. I'm sure there would be plenty of local volunteers to help/sponsor such a project.

St. Helens as a town is shocking we have nothing compared to Widnes ours is looking more like Blackpool , there needs something to be done about it but pets corner is a place the kids love and been brought up with too

The park is a great aspect and should be kept. There are so many events like cross country running, arts & craft stalls and the fair which brings the community together. It would be a shame to see the pets corner go as it is a big part to the park as well as the golf course and range.

There is nothing left in St. Helens for Kids to visit so parks and their amenities are essential in the area

I learnt to play golf at sherdley park many years ago firstly on the pitch and putt and then the full golf course I'm really upset and angry that it is to close after so many years of providing so much pleasure for so many people . I've no doubt it will be replaced by more lucrative housing very soon

Spent many hours at pets corner with our children over the years and the golf course is amazing for a municipal. Not many things around this town for people on limited budgets and these 2 are definitely on that list of places you can go. Golf price is reasonable for the quality of the course.

I have played golf at sherdley park for 20 years now I am a past captain at the golf club . I am 63 years old . In years gone bye sherdley park subsidised all other council run establishments we should be looking to advertise sherdley park at a decent price to play and make it the place it used to be . We need to keep this course open for the people of St. Helens

To many people the golf course , golf club and pets corner are central to their community. Jobs will be lost and a sense of community that can't be replaced. Sad sad times!

This park was given as a gift for ALL St Helens residents to enjoy NOT for the 52 councillors who may (or may not) live in the town to decide to close it! Totally against this!!
