Please please please do not shut our pets corner or golf course. Why not build more on the park for people who visit, like a coffee shop or ice cream parlour? Don't take bits away it's a beautiful park used by so many people.

We love to visit the park. The children have so much fun on the play area and seeing the animals. I would not mind paying or making a donation to go in and see the animals. Please keep it open!

I agree with the other comments that this decision is a disgrace, because there are very few affordable things to do here as it is. This town has fallen so far behind neighbouring places like Wigan and Warrington. It's a joke.

Disgraceful that we as a town are planning on selling more of our greenery and building more eye sores in its place!!!!

I think its an absolute disgrase. Somebody who would want to take up golf or thir children to take up golf would have to spend thousands of pounds joining grange park or another private course in the area. Think this is just another example of council bean counters just after a fast bit of cash. There is absolutly nothing at all in the sutton area to justify paying council tax. NOTHING. No wonder anti social behaviour is on the rise. I was a member of sherdley park golf course for years and years and had the hounour of captaining the junior section. I think it would be an absolute disgrase to close the course. As for the council bean counters... i wont say what i want to say about them as it would undermine the petition. Closing the course probably gets them a nice bonus for "saving costs". Just a shame this petition will probably fall on the deaf ears of those that will lone there own pockets of the back of this deal.

You can't close such a historic course. This has been the forefront of golf especially people wanting to start off in st helens and is a travesty if it shuts down. People from sutton and surrounding closer areas won't make the journey across the town to play elsewhere

So important to have these open areas for our children. I have many fond memories of pets corner as a child and take my children now.
