The golf course is on the best municipal colt courses in the country. It is an important local amenity should not be considered as profit making concern it is paid for and belongs to the council tax paying people of St.Helens. We don't ask if libraries or parks break even or make a profit, why should this local treasure be any different

Sherdley is a valued and beautiful green space that should not be allowed to be converted into anything else.

I have lived in St Helens all my life and Sherdley Park was always the place to visit. My husband plays golf and he said it is the best municipal golf course he has ever played on!

Children need open spaces to play. The golf course provides opportunity for people to take part in sport. Look for money saving cuts elsewhere.

I retired 6 years ago and took out a season ticket at Sherdley Park Golf course an do 3 times a week . I have type 2 diabetes and over the past 6 years when I have gone for my annual podiatry check the comments are passed that the exercise I get from golf is keeping me fit.

Pets corner was part of childhood and now my parents take my son over there and he loves it as much as I did! It's such a lovely addition to the park and it would be a shame to lose it!

Don't take anything else away from us, St. Helens is already the 2nd most depressed town in the country!

They need to think about all the families that struggle financially to take their children out when you have to pay. Sherdley used to be a place where you could make a picnic and spend all day there ,now with all the gangs even on the play area taking up young children's equipment I can't wait to get home and the lack of animals in pets corner is terrible. Need to put more money into Sherdley park not making cuts.

This golf course has been part of my life for over 40 years and I cannot believe that St. Helens council is going to sell for development another of the dwindling green spaces. You should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself.
