Its a disgrace what is being proposed. This and releasing greenbelt land. Destroying the town, the council leaders should be dragged out into the streets.

It's St Helens Council all over, take away from the people that count to fund their own greed, only way to stop this is get them out, someone filling their pockets off this one that's for sure.

this would have a detrimental affect on the wider community if it were to close. It has regular use from a diverse range of people, and as already expressed is a valued part of our community. To remove it would be a sad blow to our community.

I was going to be come a member there at the end of this month I have all was had a good game at sherdley Park but now I don't no wot to do I have not got the money to join a private club and sherdley pack is one hell of a good course to play and I would tell anyone to go and play there

I can't believe that a park that was left by Michael Hughes for the wellbeing and enjoyment of the people of St Helens is being considered for sale by the very council that is meant to represent and champion it's ward. Shame on you if this goes ahead. Are you considering the cost to people's health that will fall at your door when people can't take a breath of fresh air and exercise. Come on all you Saints. Fight for what is yours!

St Helens has very few facilities for recreation this is not government cuts it's not even a good excuse.

Removing the golf course means removing the only non- members, affordable course in the borough. With obesity levels and social isolation issues affecting all ages, it doesn't make sense to close it. Not everyone can afford, or wish, to become a member of the many gyms St.Helens has to offer. Green space and activity have also been proven to help mental well being, which the golf course provides.

This shouldnt be closed its a disgrace! Closed so they can sell off the land and build more houses! I dont play golf but i go and watch the wildlife on there with my dog in an evening as its safe
