Please save our local cricket club. This is an invaluable place for our community servicing all ages in their love of the sport. All my children have participated over the years here and still enjoy it’s presence in Shenfield. It would be very detrimental to our community to lose this facility.

Echoing other comments but Shenfield CC is, and always has been, a vital part of the local community, somewhere for people of all ages to learn and love cricket and to meet and make friendships that will last forever.

Is this the true cost of cross rail, the council having to grab any piece of land to fulfill their commitment. It's a travesty that a club that has been around for 98 years is facing yet another battle with BBC after just receiving agreement from them to keep the car park and SCC investing 30k of community funding in new Nets to know face the battle again.
What is the true cost:- No cricket club will lead to the council having the rights to use the area as they see fit, new housing or car parking for cross

Leave Shenfield Cricket Club and Car Park alone. It’s a Community treasure and keeps children occupied and healthy.

Absolutely outrageous that the council would even contemplate children's safety with this act of greed.

Shenfield CC has been a key part of the community as long as I have lived in shenfield, which is 30 years. So many young children and adults have benefited from its opportunities and Location. It would be a crying shame to see it go!

SCC is a wonderful local facility that is enjoyed by very many in Shenfield. Our boys have been playing there and as a family we have enjoyed the community spirit for many years. The Council do not need this land and should visit during the cricket season to see what a popular and well loved venue this is - shame on you for being so greedy Brentwood Council and threatening the Club’s existence.
