Amazing club with a history of producing quality talent and a staple of the community. Brentwood Council need to sit down and seriously consider the repercussions of this decision.

Cricket clubs are there for developing people, creating community engagement, keeping kids out of trouble and most of all....having fun! You’d be amazed what sort of positive influence a sporting club can have on young people and by taking away the opportunity for local kids to learn invaluable life skills as part of team, you only shoot yourself in the foot in other areas. People care about that place in a big way....obviously a lot more that the Brentwood council does. Stop the cash grabbing and actually listen to what your people want!!!! Dave’s Big.........

There are enough youngsters hanging round on the streets already. SCC gives great a place for young kids to go, why do you want to remove this/

Brentwood Council.... I strongly suggest you cease your course of action to deprive Shenfield of its Cricket Club. You are wasting money with such obvious ulterior motives. Once and for all.... LEAVE SCC ALONE! Shenfield Cricket Club has had such an impact on my 2 sons and still does. The family spirit of Shenfield Cricket Club is like no other. Literally hundreds of youngsters and adults will be deprived of sport in the community if you carry on! Who in their right mind would want this unless there are other motives! Get a grip BCC and go fill some pot holes with the money you are wasting...

The centre of so much enjoyment and focus for the people of Shenfield so so many years. Where else do the old and young of the local community interact so freely, respectfully and regularly.... for goodness sake keep Shenfield CC going!

What are you doing to our town? Try to take the ski slope away, now cricket? And still no cinema or other things for kids/teens to do. qe need more not less facilities.

This fantastic club has a long history full of great achievements. It has produced fantastic home grown talent and continues to do so. It was my brother who helped found the Colts section when he was just 10yrs old. I have been a member for over 30yrs as a colt, a coach and a senior member. If the council impose their bully boy plans to take away car park, which members re surfaced last year then this amazing place will be in danger of folding. And for what? So the council can generate a bit of extra income for themselves? Disgusting behaviour from Brentwood Council. Hang your heads!

Yet again...... the council being greedy. This is charming cricket club that relies on the revenue from the car park! So sad if it has to close down.
