I have played cricket against Shenfield for more time than I can recall. It would be a travesty to affect this great, hospitable, community based club with what is proposed where I, as have many, experienced some great cricket battles, forged friendships and played our part in the health and wellbeing of the local community.

Shenfield CC is a valuable asset to the community and needs to be supported by the Council, not pushed to the brink. The council’s role is to support the community, not act as a glorified car park operator / property developer.!

This has been a focal point for the community for over 80 years. Sport in the area and investment in sporting facilities should be encouraged, not ignored.

My sons are members of Brentwood Cricket Club - we know how hard it is to keep these local clubs running - all unpaid volunteers work hard hard at these clubs. We want somewhere where are kids can go and exercise and learn new skills instead of roaming the streets! Clubs like Shenfield cricket club are invaluable to our local

This cricket club is an important part of the Shenfield community and brings everyone together. I'm not a memeber but been to quite a few events held there and always had a wonderful time. Our children need the open space to play on.

We need to keep and promote sports facilities for youngsters. Potential Essex cricketers need somewhere to train and play.
