I have read the comments of hatred toward Scott Hapgood on social media They do not care about a fair trial or facts. He has been deemed guilty by them.

Scott Hapgood is a fine and gentle family man who was defending his young children from a knife-wielding attacker. There appears to be no question that the attack was fueled by cocaine, in a person with a violent history. I understand how a situation like this could be used demagogically for political purposes, but there is no justice there for anyone.
