Scotland County Pharmacy provides so much more than medications. The counseling that they do for patients is exceptional. The support and advice they offer to the Medicare population concerning supplemental insurance policies that are the best for individuals is invaluable. The loss of this pharmacy would be a blow to the people of the area.

Our community was so fortunate the McKee family chose to open a pharmacy in our town after the closing of our beloved Gardine Drug. I feel we need to repay their support & investment in our town by standing behind them now, and encourage our hospital to do the same.

The Scotland County Hospital should support the businesses in our community first and foremost like they would like the community to support them. I think the board is making a big mistake by bringing in an outside business, when a business in our community can and will fulfill your needs.

Matt supports so much locally it is time we as a community show him our support! If the new Hospital pharmacy was filling a community void I would be in favor, but since there is no void it appears greed and agenda are driving the decision. No one wins with a fight like this. Just because one business is financially unstable doesn't mean it should make choices like this that will have such a negative financial impact on a small community business.
