No other business in the county (and probably in the state of Missouri) staples itself to the community like Scotland County Pharmacy.

I can't imagine, with the information I have at this point, how this even came to consideration.....If there was ever a business relationship to break away from, it doesn't seem to me that this is the one!!!! Now, I only have the information provided by Matt via Facebook, and haven't gotten anything from the other side ( yes, I have asked questions and they've been downplayed and avoided) but Matt has a rock solid reputation and what he says is good enough for me....I've heard suggestions made to the order of speaking to board members..... Thursday night the 26th in the library addition at the hospital, they will all be together in one place.

Matt has done way to much for this community to just be tossed under the bus like this. He deserves all the business from north east Missouri.

I pick my brothers meds up there all the time. He now lives in Kahoka but has been a customer there for years and does not want to change. They are always so freindly and you don't have to wait for an hour to get a script filled like some places. I would really hate to see them close .

If I'm not mistaken SCMH receives county tax dollars. It doesn't seem fair for a taxpayer funded institution to attempt to compete with a private business which is already doing a fine job serving the citizens of Scotland County,

I support Scotland County Pharmacy and the McKee family! Why would we bring in an outside pharmacy that won't put money back into the community like the McKees have done repeatedly? Why would we get rid of many existing jobs to bring in a handful of new jobs? Will the hospital pharmacy be willing to come in after hours to make sure we have the scripts we need so we don't have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest wal-mart pharmacy like SC Pharmacy does happily? When I'm home with sick kids and unable to pick up their breathing treatments before closing time, will the hospital pharmacy offer to have someone hand deliver our medicine across town like the SC Pharmacy has done? Will the hospital pharmacy offer numerous high school students a place to earn some extra cash? Would the hospital build a place for our kids to go and get a little exercise and have family bonding over our favorite sport like the McKee family has done? Will the hospital pharmacist and their spouse put in countless hours of donated time and efforts as well as endless dollars to make sure kids have every chance possible to have fun at events of all kinds throughout our community like the McKee family does? Please ask yourselves what we would be loosing if the hospital is allowed to open a retail pharmacy at the hospital. It would most certainly cost us a business that has been a cornerstone to the Memphis community for many years!

Why do we need anot her pharmacy? Why not utilize something this community could benefit from, such as bring in more specialty clinics to the hospital, a factory of some sort, MHI, help to bring numbers back up at the Scotland County Care Center. Why create jobs that can potentially put others out of theirs?

With the small businesses in America disappearing at an alarming rate I sincerely hope that Memphis Hospital reconsiders this move. Scotland Co. Pharmacy has contributed so much to the community that endangering its survival is a real threat to the community!

This is ridiculous! Isn't the HOSPITAL the one with the ads to "keep business local", "support your small town community....you don't need a big expensive hospital, we have what you need right here!" But in all reality, THEY are the ones looking to bring big cooperate business's to town! What a joke!!! .....Way to support your small home town businesses Scotland County Hospital! ....MAYBE you should have got rid of M. R. D. before it would fall into the next CEO's lap and make it look like "his" fault! ..... And SHAME on you, you're employees didnt know this was even going on..... AND YOU EXPECT YOUR COMMUNITY TO BACK YOU!.... Awful! You're all awful!
