This expense should not be on the homeowner at all. The city should be maintaining our sidewalks. With the red tile!

Too much change in SC. The town has lost its vibe and energy. The change and development of San Clemente will be different once that mall opens up :(. Please leave San Clemente alone and allow the history and natural energy to be felt and seen.

Some of the neighborhood sidewalks are in horrible and dangerous condition. I would rather see the city worry about this than whether or not the colors of the tiles match.

I am a native born second generation San Clementean. I walked these tiles to Las Palmas elementary; and the path to the Pier. Del Mar, The Miramar Theater, the City Pool...we all remember as kids what that felt like on a hot summer day. It is San Clemente. You can't destroy heritage. Council; get a clue, and listen to the originals....!

The winding red brick paths in San Clemente are truly one of the town's distinguishing features which only shortsighted thinking would allow them to be destroyed.

In the attached photo, my home is one on the right. The character and charm of the old tiles is a joy for me and many SC folks every day. I love them and appreciate the historical values of old landmarks and I'd prefer for them to get stay and get refurbed. There are great masons around here. If there is true evidence of safety (even though there is a smoother walkway across the street} I'll stay open minded. I'd like to see repair estimates. Will contact city.

We must preserve what little history and charm there is left in our home town. For those of us that grew up here, it is so important to retain at least some of that essence we remember, because that is what made our town so special. Do not remove or change the historic sidewalks!!
