I worry about the long term impact on the environment - air quality, wildlife, water tables and pollution, etc. that will be irreversible. The idea of 40+ semi trucks per day on 71 is also terrifying given how dangerous that road already is! Many of us purchased homes in Sunrise Beach for the tranquility of the area - giant generators running 24/7, light pollution, and particulate air pollution kind of defeat that purpose!

I am in opposition to this rock crushing, creek dredging, sand washing plant. It can only create negative impacts on the water quality of Lake LBJ and negatively impact the natural environment. None of which should be done so close to residential and public recreation area.

I am saddened at the possibility of having a plant such as this in the area. On a personal note, I have been looking to purchase land across the creek from this proposed plant. It has certainly held up my decision as it would impact the serenity and tranquility of the area. Dont forget the property value issues it could cause too. And many folks arent concerned about the health risks, but such issues may not show themselves until much later in life. There are just too many risks involved with such a plant.

We, the people, must stop this travesty. Our quality of life, quality of water, quality of air, quietness, and financial future will be adversely impacted by Collier's Sandy Creek development.

I live close to Sandy Creek and object to a sand mine operating in the creek for many reasons--impact on the quality of human and animal lives, the destruction of pristine natural areas, the danger of impacting water and the ongoing issue of water shortage.

I strongly support the community efforts to prevent the Collier Sand Mine Facility from operating on Sandy Creek. The destruction of the eco-system along with the detrimental impact on the habitat and water quality would be a great travesty. SAVE SANDY CREEK!!!

Save Sandy Creek from industry. This is an area that is not ruined by greed and has bald eagles and other wildlife. Keep it in its natural beauty state.

This proposed project will damage 2 small historical century ranches in the direct, adjacent area to the dredging/mining operation in the creek bed. Disrupt the peaceful tranquility of the relatively untouched area where several have chosen to live and enjoy the views and wildlife. Many are older and already have breathing difficulties. Even the smallest particles can cause difficulties. And of course the water. No operations should ever be allowed that have the potential to harm our water sources anywhere on earth.

keep this hazardous plant away from our water supply, homes, small ranches and beautiful Hill Country. This is not the location for a sand plant and rock crushing quarry.

Keep the Hill Country Beautiful, Healthy & Clean for future generations! Think long term on Economic Development not short term fixes that destroy the area forever diminishing any chance of increased revenue & sustainable economic growth!

please keep this sand plant away from sandy creek, this will pollute our Texas Hill Country with air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution. It is not about helping lake LBJ to fill with sand. It's about the money for the land owner and the sand plant owner.

If you keep raping the land, there will be nothing for future generations to appreciate and enjoy! Leave it untouched!!
