The important thing to remember is that the proposed permit allows WAY more dredging than the applicant says it will do, and once the permit is approved this company or another can dredge 24/7/365. Even the weekday-only proposal adds 40 trucks/day in and out of the property. This is too close to existing homes and established communities.
And don't forget the water required -- in a drought-prone area.

There are so many things wrong with this proposed permit/project. No matter what the company claims it plans to do--daytime only, dredging the creek to open the waterway into lake LBJ, claiming the traffic patterns will remain the same, the PERMIT says it can operate 24/7/365 and pump millions of gallons of groundwater in the process. That is NOT acceptable near existing homes and established communities. Those are everyone's resources they want to tap, not just on the jobsite.

The natural and unique beauty of our county must be preserved and not exploited by big business and people who don’t even live here. This proposed operation would be devastating in so many ways - Air, water, noise and light pollution, harmful to environment and wildlife, drestically reduce property values, create dangerous traffic with at least 40 huge trucks per day and so much more. Let’s remain the deer capital of Texas, not the Sand plant capital. SAVE SANDY CREEK!!

The damage this project will have on 150-plus years of ranching, the communities surrounding the site, the highways accessing the site, the wildlife that relies on the creek, and the water supply for millions of users of the LCRA-managed Highland Lakes depends upon this project's dissolution. Thank you very much.
