Saltash Station building should not have been sold in the first place. If it had to be sold, for ecomomic reasons, it should have had conditions applied focused on its development for the benefit of the community as well as profit for the company. Now we must do everything we can to rescue this valuable heritage site in Cornwall.

Seeing Saltash is the first & last station in Cornwall , it should be kept for the people of Saltash not made into mini flats etc.

I catch the train from Saltash station multiple times a week. I'll often walk down the platform, towards the bridges, where I look closely at the building. I try and imagine what it would've looked like in its hayday. It would be wonderful if it could be restored. As a current serving Police Officer, in the area, I believe restoration could promote a reduction in crime too.

The owner is very difficult man to talk. Event town councillors were contact with him but not success at moment.

Saltash should most definitely have a station waiting room and toilet facilities, plus the building surely must be rescued and renovated.

Current situation is deplorable... what an advert for the gateway to Cornwall... derelict buildings, weed strewn platforms and litter. This needs returning to decent ownership that will return the station as a whole to its former glory and make it a welcoming sight and experience for all Cornwalls visitors and residents.

What a great idea. As the Gateway to Cornwall this is a station surely worthy of our best endeavours at sympathetic renovation and refurbishment. The links here with Brunel at Saltash speak volumes. With his bridge, what better way to compliment this magnificent structure than a station building worthy of the great man, the citizens of Saltash and those enthusiasts and historians from far and wide who would undoubtedly travel to view and admire the towns accomplishments. Community use is of course a requirement as is perhaps an area set aside to further educate visitors as to the part Saltash and the great county of Cornwall has played on the world stage. This project, if handled sensitively could well be linked with additional tourist links thus benefitting the town and community. May I wish you every success.

With all the work that that has been done over the last few decades in relation to the rich history of Saltash it would be very short sited not to restore this building in some way that reflects it's former useage and in a way that ensures that it is in keeping with the wonderful work recently carried out on the bridge itself.

We live in a beautiful town full of character and history. It is important that the first building that visitors and travellers see, reflects the charm of Saltash and Cornwall in general. I would love to see this building restored to its former glory.
