I have lived close to the Glenrose Prairie since the early 1970s when I was a WSU Nursing student. Through the years, I have seen the encroachment of housing and roads take away wild space, and felt sad about the changes. The proposed sports complex simply CANNOT be allowed to be built and in any way further the loss of the prairie. We all need wild, open spaces, whether we are aware of that or not. Kudos to all of you for fighting this deeply needed fight-big business and heavy-handed government oversight must lose this one!

There are plenty of places in downtown Spokane to build a sports complex, and the infrastructure is already in place to handle the increased traffic. Don't destroy the peace and tranquility of rural Glenrose for some developer's greed.

I'm concerned about increased traffic on Glenrose. The gate into my community (Glenngrae) is located on a curve. It is difficult to pull onto Glenrose now, and only see more difficulty if the Sports Complex becomes reality.

Zoning rules are in place for good reasons. People analyzed the appropriate use for land and based zoning rules on the analysis. Nothing has changed except for the pressure to develop. Do not give in to that pressure.

The county has made no plans for improving the roads in the area. It has already become congested due to the large housing complex that was allowed to be built. Keep Glenrose as it is and stop the sprawl!

I am EMPHATICALLY opposed to the construction of this proposed sports complex even though I don't live in the Glenrose Community. Not only should Spokane County never have approved it, but SYSA should never have proposed to build it there in the first place.

It is devastating to watch the absolute disintegration of the beauty and pristine nature of the South Hill. I have lived hear for over 50 years and observed the encroachment of strip malls, usurpation of multi-family dwellings and invasion of postage stamp size single family dwelling properties. Put this proposed monstrosity elsewhere along with any more needless and excessive development!
