Save Rural Gig Harbor: No Luxury Resorts on Olson Drive

We live in this area and our children go to Harbor Heights. Walking on Olson drive in order to get to the school is dangerous enough with the current traffic and blind corners. This would not only change the already eroding rural feel of the area, but would impact the safety of the families who walk and drive this road.

The developers don’t care they just cut down trees, scar our land, all for the mighty dollar. Then they move on to destroy another town, and destroy their way of living that they also loved. I wonder where the developers live? I bet it’s not here.

Gig Harbor does not need luxury resorts to ruin the small town I grew up in. It has already grown so much in the past 10 years. We have to preserve what we have left.

With the over building in Gig Harbor this would be the WORST project ever. I have also walked near there and seen many eagles and osprey in those trees . This area has been pushed to its limits and besides, let’s keep our infrastructure to support those who are already here.

Keep Gig harbor Rural . Save our farm lands

This is the last thing Gig Harbor needs . It's difficult enough to get around our "small town" now. I can't even imagine the huge problems this would add to our already over taxed infrastructure

Infrastructure before development. I'm not comfortable with people moving into our community, profiting by overdeveloping our rural neighborhood, leaving us to suffer the increased traffic, and sticking the people who lived here before with the bill for new infrastructure. We don't want the trucks it will take to supply the food and supplies, the employees going to and from work and the emergency vehicles that typically serve a large retirement community.

I grew up on olson drive. This kind of construction would wipe out a peaceful environment for a lot of wildlife. Much more than just building these huge mansions would need to be done. Sewer lines and widening of roads and sidewalks would be needed. Many deer would come through our property, bears, raccoon, coyotes even a wild peacock had come and stayed with our chickens. Where would these animals and many others go if we keep destroying their habitats.
