Save Rural Gig Harbor: No Luxury Resorts on Olson Drive

Stop the greed! Leave our precious patch of nature alone

This is the last thing we need! I know the area well and it cannot handle the traffic and it will Change the beauty of Gig Harbor!

These builders must be stopped. We have a predatory builder taking actions in the Cromwell area. Clearing with no permit, trying to buy up lots and build McMansions in forest areas. Habitats for many animals including foxes and owls. They are trying to take advantage of the pandemic and there is no real consequence for their actions from the country.

How much is enough our town has been ruined by over building with no care to infrastructure, traffic and crime.

Slow the growth NOW!!

As a 30 plus year resident of Gig Harbor, it certainly seems to me that we teeter towards becoming like Federal Way in recent years. What in the world are we doing to our community? Growth and density has to pause until infrastructure and assessment of the impact on community/environment/quality of life is evaluated. And not just by those who stand to profit.

I grew up on the corner of 36th and Olson Drive. Its changed too much already. Lots of wildlife will have less of habitat.

We do not want to turn Gig Harbor into Tacoma. We want to keep as much of our dwindling forests as possible with minimal congestion and noise.

I think everyone can agree that Gig harbor had become a construction zone everywhere. I think that there has been plenty of housing developments and new buildings and there's no need for anymore. They're taking away what Gig harbor is known for, all it's beauty surrounded by water, clean and upkept, and most of all "SAFE". The more over populated it becomes and before you know it, it's Tacoma and it of control. Enough is enough. Save our community and all it's beauty before it's too late. It's not all about money people.

I grew up in Gig Harbor. After graduating from Gig Harbor High and living elsewhere for 17 years of college and graduate study, work, and beyond, I’m back and raising a family here. I support efforts to preserve the natural beauty and history of my hometown. Please don’t allow rampant development like this one to trample the essence of this land that I had hoped would be here for my children to enjoy for many years to come.

This would definitely take away from the rural feeling of area, and put much stress on the current land there.

I miss our small town!

I am against this new housing development! Gig Harbor does not need to be another Tacoma or worse Seattle. We want to keep Gig Harbor affordable as it doesn’t need to get anymore expensive tax property wise.

I oppose this development! My grandchildren live in this neighborhood and currently can take walks on Olson drive without fear of much traffic. Also the school district is already overloaded and who is going to pay for this problem? This is currently a quiet street, please do not allow this development!
