Save Rural Gig Harbor: No Luxury Resorts on Olson Drive

I do not support the plan to Develop this area. There is not the infrastructure to support, and It should not have, since it is a rural area.

We live (36 years) off 36th St Nw across from the two schools. Traffic is already a nightmare on the local streets during school drop off and pick up times as well as special events. The streets are unsafe for pedestrians having little to no shoulder and no sidewalks and this project will create further havoc for those of us who moved to the area to enjoy it’s rural nature.

There has not been allowed enough time for residents who actually live here, such as my wife and myself, to fully express why we believe this is harmful to those of us who reside in the area already. We need clearer and more thorough information on the project, and our concerns need to be heard and fully discussed - not avoided. We are 100% AGAINST this project.

STOP THIS NOW!

This area has become over developed. The increased traffic would be a nightmare.

Pay to play is non-conforming to our Community standards. Stop.

This area doesn’t have the infrastructure to serve this luxury development. I have 4 young boys that walk to their bus stop and as it is the amount of traffic on 38th street is absurb, not to mention the lack of sidewalks make it dangerous to even walk along this area especially for young children any more traffic would be a recipe for disaster . Please do not allow this development to circumvent the housing rules and build this.

Builders need to be held to standards set and not be allowed to work around to build whatever they want.

While I know people need homes but so do our wildlife friends. One of the beauties of our community is the plethora of trees and open space. We need to keep open spaces to preserve wildlife and to keep our air clean.

Ridiculous to grant this exception - tired of developers getting exceptions and approval for building that ordinary citizens would not be allowed to do and that no one should be allowed to do anyway! Developers should have to follow the rules.

Please, no more development in the area.

Rural zoning is there for a reason. Protect our rural character, habitat and wildlife.

This is a bad in all the ways mentioned in this petition.

Please protect what is left of our rural areas and wildlife.

Stop them, now!! Where does wildlife go?

We are saturated with traffic in our current infrastructure and loosing the character of our less dense community. We do not need to become another Bellevue with traffic congestion and density.
