Erasing history is a very slippery slope. It allows a new narrative to be replaced that now cannot be countered factual evidence. This has been tried before and often with detrimental results.

What a stupid thing to do. You cannot undo history. Where will it end? Such a waste of money!

Robert E Lee freed his slaves in 1862 long before general grant or general Sherman released their slaves many northern general who have statues did not free their slaves even after the Emancipation Proclamation and Robert E Lee did not need the Emancipation Proclamation be freed his before it was signed

If the song "God bless Robert E Lee." By Johnny Cash, doesn't teach you anything then open up your damn mind.
