Save Riverfront Park

This park is an essential part of our community- family picnics, Ultimate Leagues, soccer games. etc.

The open green space is a draw for the whole community, all ages, and helps build community.

Why does the city keep taking away green spaces?!

This green space is of vital importance to our community. To take half of it would curtail all the sporting activities that take place there. It would be like taking away half the scorer field or half the basketball court. Stick with the original plan.

Where else are youth going to go when it's 4:20?.

City needs to honour original east Fraserlands project to house day care, sports field, community centre, and schools. New families in the East Fraserlands were advised these amenities would be part of this new community. Have they been advised of the change? The Riverfront park has always been well used for sports, families, individuals and pets for many years. If the City takes this away, we would forever lose this green space!

Move the daycare and future school east of Kerr where it was originally planned as part of the East Fraserlands Development.

If the park is reduced we may soon need to take a number to visit. We are fortunate to have had previous generations that cherished green spaces. Imagine a Vancouver without Stanley Park. Please leave the Fraserland Park for our children and those to come.

That Neighbourhood is going to be over built I am currently building in that Neighbour and I see no signs of it stopping. We need green space!!!!!

Don't rezone this park. That defies good sense. Keep the original plan.

This is the only remaining park in this area. We have to stop encroachment of mony hungry commercialism in the name of daycare.

I don't want to see this little bit of green space that we have left in our beautiful park be turned into a daycare centre . Please go back to the original plans and come up with an alternative location . We want this field kept for all nature lovers and there family's to enjoy.

It is hard to understand how the city, which must maintain and protect the ever decreasing green space in Vancouver, will tear up an existing park to build a daycare. The River District development is 100M east, and has already been completely cleared with foundations dug, or in the process of being prepared, to make way for much needed infrastructure; day cares and schools have existed as part of the development plans for years now. Removing a park that has been part of this community for many years and the source of enjoyment for the entire area is simply unconscionable.

Please stick with the original plan. We need this green space!

Park land is important. There is lots of space in the centre

I really enjoy this park near my friend's. I see it used all the time by adults, teens, and children playing games, walking their dogs, etc.. It is such a beautiful simple green space and I can't get my head around why the city would want to destroy it. Can't you just leave things alone. Maybe next Gregor will want to pave it over for a bike path? The city has some weird ideas.

we need our park and green space for our children and pets vancouver support a green city just on theory .and realized the city do what they want to do . I'm really disappointed .

This well used green space fosters vital community engagement. Please reconsider the current plan to build the daycare on this community land. The daycare has an appropriate place already in a building design.

Destroying an outdoor childrens' facility to build an indoor childrens' facility is in a word, obtuse.

Please leave the park as it is. It's difficult enough to find green space in Vancouver and it's absolutely necessary for a peaceful mind.
