Parks should not ever be moved, this is the only big green space in this location. Find another area please.

this is a wonderful family oriented neighbourhood. we all treasure this real canadian experience. development should reflect and align our canadian core value, not just for development sake.

The draw of living in that area is the green space and the beauty.... Enough trees have been removed from the area; people generally prefer to live off the ground floor - more buildings should utilize this for business space

For the last few years this area has been going a great deal of development and you can see the consequences this has been having in the different species that live or used to live in this area. How about caring for them too? How about caring for the balance of this ecology? Please consider these species are already undergoing major stress and they so much need the little space they already have. With hope that you do the right thing for the highest good of all beings. Thanks

I am against building on the River Front Park. This is used regularly by people who already live here and have for years. This green space is important to the community already here and the city can easily change the plans within the new development to accommodate a daycare if they really want to.

I am all for development in our area but not at the expense of our neighbourhood. We need this green space to balance out the major developing occurring and I feel that we are giving up a lot of our free space to accommodate growth and development but it is resulting in less and less relaxation and calm in our neighbourhood. We already have to put up with insufficient parking for residents who are not allowed to use the restaurant parking but the restaurant clientele uses our residential streets to park. Lets leave the park a park..Period!!

Living in the neighbourhood for 12 years, this green area is very important not only for me but all people living near by. Here is where we meet, to play ultimate frisbee, to meet with our dogs and other dogs, to run with them, this is the only place where they can really fell free!!! And run!!! You can not take our park, it's not nice! You stay in the original location. It's not fare! 'WE WANT OUR PARK UNTOCHEABLE"

This park is a much needed green space for those who live east of Kerr. It is a playing field, a place for children and families to play and dogs to run. With thousands of people moving down to our neighbourhood, more green spaces and parks should be the goal, not less. The neighbourhood needs a breathing space, a break from cement and asphalt. The neighbourhood also needs a real opportunity to voice their opinions on decisions that impact their lives. We are not saying no to the daycare. We are saying that there is ample space for it in River District area, as was the original plan.

The roadway in front of that location is so narrow it would be horribly dangerous for drop off and pick up.

The green space from Kerr east to Boundary has been decimated to make way for the River District community planned neighborhood and there are 2 addt'l projects under construction east of Kerr at Jellicoe and 1/2 block east of that. The grass field needs to be preserved for the community to enjoy.

I am against the City of Vancouver wanting to move the development site for a daycare from the River District Development into the River Front Park. I can't believe with all the planning with the River District developers, this would change as it was one of the main selling points to getting the area developed. Do not let the developers of the River District take existing park land for what they had originally promised at the East Fraser Land development. Also, if you take the chunk of land from River Front Park, it will not allow a big enough field for any sports such as Ultimate or Football. The smaller area would only then be used as a dog park which limits what local residents can use the park for. How dare the City of Vancouver renege on its promise for the daycare to be located in the River District area. Why didn't the City incorporate it into the plans of the 2 huge rental properties being built on Jellicoe? Find another location in the undeveloped East Fraser lands. Please do not take the existing waterfront flat park land for the daycare. Surely, the City of Vancouver has some integrity to stand up to the River District Developers and some intelligence to find an alternate location in a future un-developed project in the River District.

Sorry to see green space keep disappearing as it is so limited in a city. Our area is seeing a high influx of people which will continue to grow with all the building going on, we need this green space on the river for all to enjoy.

Seriously do we need another development? There are plenty of other places around to do so. This park is for families and the like. Let's use our brains here. Save the park and take the development to another site.
