Love this show and I cannot believe how short sighted the BBC are. There is no way a programme like this can compete with a ridiculous reality tv show so why put it up against it!

My husband and I both enjoy this drama. Never got into Downtown, so it would a shame if this was lost just for that reason.

Why do we pay the license fee? BBC should not compete for ratings, I'm fed up of reality shows and Ripper Street is a breath of fresh air!!! Boycott the BBBC!!!!

You have a good serie, with suspense, historical elements, good acting and a lot of people interested in continue watching. If you need change day or hour, do it! But don't quit!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Please reconsider this decision! Ripper Street has been unfairly judged in the ratings as it has been up against the might of I'm A Celebrity - a battle no drama has a hope of winning sadly. A new Ripper Street series, in the correct timeslot would be a ratings winner. The depth of feeling, several petitions and the huge online response to this decision shows how many people love this show. This is THE best quality, original, outstanding drama the BBC has produced for years. Come on BBC this is why i pay my licence fee: to watch shows like this, not the usual round of cooking/makeover/celeb/reality shows.

Ludicrous decision. The Elephant Man episode in particular was stunning. Incomprehensible decision.
