It's an exceptional tv programme and it would be terribly shortsighted to cancel the series. The series is well written and the sets and costumes are exquisite. Best of all, fans are finally starting connect with the complex characters which are so well acted. Surely, there are other programming options... To go out to something like 'I'm a celebrity get me out of here'? I'm speechless. Ripper street is programme of such high calibre, the comparison is laughable really...

It shouldn't be just about viewing figures, given the lack of taste displayed by the great unwashed. This is the kind of programme the BBC should be making. Let ITV make the programmes for the mindless.
