I can't believe that BBC is cancelling such a brilliant show, whilst we pay our licence fee for what exactly. Ripper Street is a good programme that should go onto series 3.

Ripper Street along with Peaky Blinders are shows that make you feel that paying the TV license is worthwhile.The Beeb will likely spend the money saved on axing this great show on some boring sporting event that nobodies interested in.

its so supid the shows they cancel now. choosing to cancel prime shows like ripper street instead of those aweful reality shows we now see every where. whats next downton abby, doctor who, call the midwifes. nothing is safe any more

Moving it to Monday was a dumb move. Renew Ripper Street and put it back on Sunday.

One of the very few programmes on TV where well developed characters, great acting, fabulous sets, costumes and plots come together. A real quality maserpiece.

A shameful decision - the ratings slump is down to poor scheduling and lack of promotion in my view. QWuality dr5amas such as this are what the BBC should be making more of, not cancelling.

Dear BBC, please reconsider cancelling ‘Ripper Street’. What a treat it is to have a well-made television programme, a feast for the intellect – exceptional, fascinating dialogue, production values of the highest order (costume department, I adore you) and the artful inclusion of contemporary events (e.g. the death of Mr. Joseph Merrick) Also, the ensemble cast, both main cast and support that are extraordinary in quality. Just change the time slot back to Sundays and watch the ratings soar!
