With thought provoking story lines, superb photography and great acting Ripper Street is the best thing the BBC are doing at the moment. It is essential it continues.

Axing RIpper Street. WHoever thought that one up should be shot. Best thing the BBC have done for a long time. Are they getting rid of theat tripe East Enders as well?

It's a well constructed show that isn't quite like anything else on TV at present. And then BBC say figures have dropped, when it's put up against I'm A Celebrity...Give Me Money! Put the show into a proper slot. Stick it onto BBC3 or BBC4 even. But give it a chance.

A brilliant series, well written and well acted. The BBC is there to Inform Educate and entertain this programme does all 3, unlike the rubbish on the other side than does non of the above, The BBC has very little quality programming these days if it axes the little it has maybe it's time to cut the Charter too.

In the midst of a surfeit of cookery programmes and repeats Ripper Street is quality drama for which I don't mind paying a licence fee.Please think again BBC.

Best drama on tv. Great characterisation and intriguing plotlines against the background of the Industrial Revolution. Grimly realistic, it most definately has not run its course.

I pay the licence fee because great dramas like Ripper Street are developed. To not take it to Series 3 is madness and if TV is only going to be humiliation and bikinis and ant and dec, then might as well throw the telly out of the window !

Axe Ripper Street - Are the BBC totally mad! As a TV License payer I cannot believe the BBC wants to associate itself with so called "reality" TV trash and nothing else. I limit the amount of TV I watch generally in the interest of a healthy balance and have never watched nor will I watch, trashy american style TV which promotes selfishness and personal ego trips. If the BBC wish to survive, I would suggest they ensure they keep a healthy balance between the trash and fabulous programmes such as Ripper Street. Quality drama with two of the best british actors available plus a rather cute if somewhat unknown to me american, there are very little reasons I would rush home or cancel a social engagement for. Ripper Street is fabulous, well written, well acted and filmed on location in England - excellent for tourism. I believe the BBC have lost its links to reality. Wake up BBC or you will become history when license payers like myself stop watching...
