I spent all morning reading through what you all have been logging in the comments and honestly it just makes my blood boil that they think they can just cut something with this much heart without a word. My inbox is a total mess right now because of the emails flying back and forth but I wanted to pop on here and say that the silence from the network is actually starting to feel like a deliberate choice to ignore us.

The series should not be axed. The lives of all the characters have been left hanging with the so called last episode. The series has to continue so as to let us know what happens to their lives!!! The BEEB dont know when they have a good thing!!!
Please reconsider the decision to axe Ripper a Street. It's authenticity and Victorian charm is all part of its appeal. Plus the actors and actresses are wonderful. The BBC would be making a grave error of judgement if they refuse to make a third series.
It's a well constructed show that isn't quite like anything else on TV at present. And then BBC say figures have dropped, when it's put up against I'm A Celebrity...Give Me Money! Put the show into a proper slot. Stick it onto BBC3 or BBC4 even. But give it a chance.
Please reconsider cancelling Ripper Street, one of my all-time favorite BBC programs. I live in the U.S. and Series 2 has not aired here. If the show must be cancelled, I hope at least that a proper series finale will be done to wrap up the storylines.
Ripper Street apparently had 3.2 million viewers v ITV's I’m a Celebrity, which attracted 8.8 million viewers. BBC please note… That is 3.2 `MILLION` people who choose to watch compelling, extremely well acted drama, over a bunch of Z listers eating bugs.
My family loves Ripper Street! Keep it going
This show is one of the best there is! So sick of super hero and reality tv!! Keep the historical dramas coming and keep RIPPER STREET PROGRESSING!

There are too few quality dramas being made and this one really interests me. It is one of the few shows I watch on TV and to axes it because off poor ratings versus a mindless reality show is a disgrace! This is the kind of program I pay my TV licence for.
