It's has been said by ITV that due to money issues, the 60s drama Heartbeat will be stopped in production. The apparent "axe" has had various comments from papers and sites which say the show will get axed for good. ITV have said they "value heartbeat and The Royal" but have not stated if the show will return in production after the depression! From reports it seems to be clear that ITV plan to axe the show for sometime in which case the drama may not return afterwards even if the go ahead happens as actors and crew will have to find other work in the meantime.
