Keep outdoor dining.

Outdoor dining was one of the reasons we chose to move to Ridgewood during the pandemic. Not only does it increase footfall around the restaurants and surrounding stores, it fosters community, and creates a thriving downtown atmosphere that ultimately brings new business, jobs, visitors, and newcomers to the town. More people = more investment. There is already ample parking in the garage, station, and on nearby streets. You can also use your legs and walk to the main street. Getting rid of outdoor dining would be the death knell of civilized society, and would have an extreme burden on our relationships, mental health, and freedom.

My family spent much more time downtown thanks to the outdoor dining and corrals. Strolling past (and shopping in) stores, seeing friends, listening to music by talented residents—it was so nice! We hope to do it again this spring & summer!

It was an accidental benefit but sometimes that's where the best ideas come from! Lets do everything we can by promoting an enjoyable atmosphere while supporting local restaurants. This one is a no brainer!

Please keep the outdoor areas! They need to stay! We love them and what if Covid returns next winter???

I believe the outdoor dining corrals in town should remain open to allow more eating outdoors. If the restaurants can support it, let them continue. Thank you.

I was looking forward to warmer weather so that we can once again enjoy the fun and energy that outdoor dining brought to the town. It was such a bright spot the past year. No reason to not keep it.

Makes downtown so much more enjoyable and plenty of parking already, with the lots and new garage!

Well once again we are shown that if there’s one thing politicians are good at it’s TOTALLY SCREWING UP A GOOD IDEA.

This is a no brainer!! The outdoor dining option is a lovely addition to our downtown and helps the parking garage get more business. Win win!!

This is BS. As residents we highly appreciate the street side seating and closing of the road not just on weekends but permanently to reduce gasoline emissions and increase walking and healthier habits
