These are important for families with children too young to be vaccinated and can only serve to foster a more fun an energetic downtown atmosphere.

I live in Ridgewood, walking distance to the town. We go to eat with local friends from Bergen County and from the city. Taking away outdoor dining is harmful thing for the community, residents, and for people like my family who still have reasons to remain Covid cautious. And now the weather is finally getting nice!

I will always choose outdoor dining in these times. Keeping these options available is worth the sacrifice of missing park I spaces

Don't say gay?
Don't sit outside?
I know which side of history I want to be on.
May eating empanadas outside continue in the great village of Ridgewood.

The outdoor dining experience in downtown was the highlight of the past few years. It's actually one of the reasons my husband and I moved to Ridgewood. We would much rather our tax dollars go to having the outdoor experience where everyone can enjoy, than something that only a few people can experience, like sound barriers for pickleball. What's the point of having the garage built if you're not going to use it?

Love outdoor dining corrals, makes ridgewood feel more European in feel…adds to the charm of why ppl love it here. AND adds to the possibility of families 5+ to enjoy outdoor dining. A big plus. For many locals.

Outdoor dining should be here to stay. We sat outside at Bareburger this evening - March 19th - and it was lovely. Fresh air. Good food. I do suggest some rules should be put in place to maintain the corrals. Unsightly mismanaged corrals can detract from the town. But the added outdoor dining is only a plus. The few parking spots they take up cannot be the argument to get rid of them. The numbers don’t equate. There were 256 available spots in the new parking garage when we pulled in at 6:02pm. And it’s free after 6pm on Saturday! Which is an added bonus. Why did we build a parking garage if we don’t encourage it’s usage?? We will lose foot traffic to other towns if outdoor dining goes away. And take note - Covid is not going away. So why not give that added option to be outside. It makes no sense to take outdoor away now, at the onset of Spring 2022. It should be allowed from March 1st to November 30th. Take it away in the winter months. Not when Spring and Summer are upon us.
Thank you.

I am a business owner of two retail locations in Ridgewood. When the restaurants do well, we do well. Taking away the open dining corrals is a mistake - a really obvious one. It drives more traffic to Ridgewood and gives a great ambiance/ visitor experience.
