We have walked our dogs at the Rennie Park since moving back into the neighbourhood 15 years ago. This is a special place where we have met new freinds and reaquainted with old ones. Please SAVE our Park!

Please save our dog park. We have two dogs and no means to get to other parks. It will be a true hardship to us if the park is closed.

Why deny dogs & owners, the healthy benefits of an off-leash area like Rennie Park?!

Speaking as a rate payer in Swansea for over 20 years and as someone who has been taking my dog to rennie park for over 12 years, I sincerAs someone who has taken my dog to Rennie for 12 years, I hope the City will make good on commitments made in the past to provide an appropriately placed off-leash area, similar to the one that was taken away a number of years ago.

I believe there is room for dog lovers and non dog lovers in a community. One cannot black list everyone if there are odd non responsible dog owners. I also know that there are more dog owners out there who actually do daily community work by picking up garbage along with the poop and scoop duties. Do regular non dog owners ever do this? The answer would be no as they do not come equipped with garbage bags to do the deed. Stop the whinning and let's try to get along.

This is another case of one complainer ruining the ability of dozens of respectful taxpayers to use a public space. Officials should be ashamed if they allow themselves to be bulldozed by the special interest of one or two homeowners.

Dogs need to socialize, run and exercise. They need a space for this that is not on the recreational field and that is walking accessible in our community. This space should not be taken away for this purpose simply because a few people are complaining over and over again, making it appear as though several complaints by numerous people have been made. Let the dogs continue to have a space for healthy play and exercise!

Please leave this dog park alone!! It's not a big area but it gives many dogs a place to play.

Please do not take away this neighbourhood gem from us, most of whom are responsible and considerate dog owners!

this is a treasured community resorce for those of us who own dogs. iIt provides what is often lost in large cities, that sense of contact with others in our community as we dog owners shade our with our "dog friends the dnd of the day as well as the joy that our pets derive from the play with others. My, admittedly limited but, regular attendence at the park shows that although there is occasional barking, but certainly no any kind of insistant or purvasive barking issues.

We moved to this area of Toronto because we had dogs!! Everyone in the area has been so kind and accomodating - respecting the skaters, the tobagonners, the dog walkers and the runners, cyclists etc. i don't see how a few voices can be allowed to change the long time, and favourable practices, of the many. In fact, we clean up after other people - including the waste from kids' lunches that blows onto the field, and the bottles and cans of some of the community's park revellers. A suggestion. In Halifax I went to a park - a larkge ocean side park, that had specific dog off leash hours - for the whole park! I think it was something like 6-10 am and 5 - 8 pm - I was told that this was a harmonious solution for all. Another suggestion - tackle the real issue. A very small number of loud and obnoxious dogs and people who do not pick up after their pets - leashed or unleashed makes no difference to this problem - and ticket only the offenders, rather than everyone. We don't ban all driving because a small number of people drive drunk.

What has happened to the "live and let live" philosophy that we share in Swansea and Bloor West? Surely, dogwalkers, soccer and baseball players and the general public can find a way to make this happen.
