I grew up in Las Vegas and it is awful each time I visit to see the urban sprawl that goes farther and farther into the desert. Please find somewhere else to build and let people enjoy the natural areas that are disappearing.

As someone who has spent many amazing weeks at Red Rock Canyon in the past five years, I am disappointed to hear that Clark County is even considering such a project. This land should be treasured and preserved so that we may share it with future generations. Even if it weren't for that, this makes no economic sense. There is already an oversupply of housing in the greater Las Vegas area! Building new houses here would further depress the already stagnant home values of many Las Vegas residents.

This place is sacred even to those who have not yet touched those rocks. The monetary gain of housing development could not possibly be enough to outweigh the cost of the degradation of such a unique and special place.

Been to red rocks 3 times now and it's beautiful. It would be a travesty to let development mar its natural beauty.

Red Rock Canyon was one of my family's favorite rural/natural getaways when we lived in Las Vegas, and the place I most urge visitors to go to see when they're in town. It would be unforgivable to develop that area. It would leave an enormous eyesore in one of the only areas where one can learn about the area's natural history, ruining the landscape forever.

I love climbing at Red Rock and enjoy how it feels so far away from civilization even though Vegas is right there. I love the desert! Please, don't put houses near such a beautiful environment!

There is plenty of other land available to develop. It is not necessary to build in Blue Diamond. Please do not do irreparable damage to a National Conservation Area. It is wrong.
