I'm an avid traveler across the west. I've spent a few road trips in red rocks and Las Vegas area. I really value the lack of development that you can find in red rocks just outside of a very large city. Building homes for the wealthy limits the nature quality for the rest of the population to whom public lands belong to as well.

I was a Las Vegas resident for 9 years, but would have left after 1 year had it not been for the majesty of Red Rock Canyon and the opportunities to explore an American treasure like it so close to the city. What makes it special is that geographic barrier that separates it from town. If you develop that, you not only ruin the character of the national conservation area but endanger its wildlife and ecology by bringing so much more human traffic and pollution. Keeping Red Rock rural is crucial to its survival. Please stop this planned development.

Red Rock is a special place that I enjoy visiting whenever I'm in the Vegas area. There is plenty of development in Vegas, there's no need to add it here. Please leave this slice of land for nature and recreation.

I was born and raised here. I've watched houses spread further and further into Red Rock, one of the only redeeming horizons that Vegas has. They have built far enough into Red Rock already. It needs to stop. They are destroying wildlife, our natural scenery, and my memories. Please save Red Rock.

I moved to Summerlin to be close to a rural, natural beautiful area. Not to stare at tan, brown, beige and white houses all the time. Don't give Las Vegas and Summerlin a bad name. Red Rock and all it's beauty is a rare gem here!

Red Rock Canyon is a national treasure and hence its designation as a "National Conservation Area". Please maintain and sustain the rural setting that embraces the Canyon and all its wonder for so many visitors.

I'm a former land owner of property in Blue Diamond. I'm very familiar with this area. The last thing it needs is housing development. It's a very fragile environment that would suffer greatly and permanently from housing development.
