It is so nice to be able to "get away from it all" without really getting away. Red rock is close and convenient. It's nice to not always be in a city scene. To appreciate the quite. To see a night sky. Please leave Red Rock rural.

Nature is no place for greed. This is our land. All of us enjoy getting of the cities to see pristine beauty like the Red Rock Canyons. This is life. Please let this beautiful canyon be as its intended to be so "The Red Rock Canyons"

I have lived here for 22 years, this is the only place that makes me want to stay in Las Vegas. People from all around come here because it's beautiful and remotely untouched. Building and expanding in and/or near Red Rock will drive away people and take away the beauty of this wonderful place. Unnecessary traffic, housing, stores, etc. will create chaos and travelers will not be able to appreciate this sacred place.

The stark wilderness of the southern Nevada desert is what has brought my family back again and again to Red Rock Canyon. Averaging one to two trips to the region per year for the last 21 years, I can confidently say I'm a contributing member to the local economy. The development of the lands directly adjacent to Red Rock Canyon Conservation Area week severely detract from the unique feel of the area, and will likely result in a sharp reduction in tourism dollars spent in the area.
Please keep parks, wilderness, and conservation areas in a state to enjoy and wonder, not as window dressing to yet another real estate land-grab.

As a 26 year resident of Clark County, seeing the way City takes over the natural land - I sincerely ask you not give away this buffer zone that protects our beautiful natural areas.

Allowing a large town to be built so close to Red Rock Canyon would destroy the serenity and beauty of the area for hikers and climbers and could even remove it from its designation of a "National Conservation Area"--since a large town would be right beside it.

I have been hiking Red Rock. Canyon since I moved here in 1980 and have seen the alarming increase in traffic. Dropping a town larger than Boulder City at the entrance to our park is a recipe for disaster.

I can imagine the greed of people who want to scar the beauty of this amazing site. I've bought a year's pass, twice, and hiked to rehab a torn Achilles, brought numbers of visitors from outside Nevada and some who live here, along with our four legged friends, to its AWESOME Majesty. To encroach on its borders would add to the overabundance of ignorance that is human nature. Do us all , and future generations, favor and leave it alone.
