I lived in the Village of Blue Diamond for 16 years. Since moving to Utah, I have been watching the ploys of Jim Rhodes in Red Rock. I went to high school with him and know very well how underhanded this man can be. Please protect Red Rock for ALL people. Not the benefit of the few.

My wife and I visited Vegas for our 5th wedding anniversary, and our trips out of the city to go climbing and hiking are my most fond memories from that trip. I have since made two other trips to Red Rocks, and plan to go again in the coming years. Please don't spoil its beauty with unnecessary development!

I spend a month each year climbing in Red Rocks. Please do not allow this so a few wealthy people can have a nice view and a very few can get wealthier than they already are.

Red Rock is a city treasure and it is our only natural escape from the city. This development will affect the nature of the land and ecosystem. It will bring more traffic and more pollution. How many of those homes will even be sold?

This is a big desert, and Las Vegas has many development tracts available. For the sake of ourselves and succeeding generations, why would we want a large development to face one of our few special recreation and conservation areas? The fact that it's private land does NOT mean the larger community should allow the owner to develop it. This is about Jim Rhodes' profit, ultimately. He's probably a fine individual, but he shouldn't be allowed to do whatever he wants to make a huge amount of money at everyone else's expense. He can make plenty of money developing an area that is already urban. Las Vegas has never been great about having an overall vision for planning and development like, say, Portland, OR. Let's start now.

How can you even consider this? Don't destroy nature for a few extra dollars. There's plenty of space to develop without ruining an amazing rural area such as red rock! Don't do it!!
