There is plenty of other land to build huge homes for the rich with views. Please don't spoil this area for us that can't afford it, but appreciate our beautiful public lands.

I ride my bicycle on 159 from Charleston to Blue Diamond. Can't imagine more traffic! All that means is that there will be more accidents, injurys, and deaths. No way on a housing development, especially with access from the 159

Just what we don't need. We need areas like Red Rock more than more homes. Let's not spoil our few remaining natural areas. And where are you going to get the water for more residents.

I am a 42 year old Las Vegas native. My mother, Betty Pearce was a 6th grade science teacher in the valley from the late 60's to the 2000's. We took countless family and school trips to Red Rock Canyon. I remember learning about all the local flora and fauna from a very young age and watching all of my mom's students' awe and wonder as they experienced this special place tucked within the boundaries of our home. And I have a firm recollection of all of us always discussing our worst fear; the thought that they would build houses there one day. We never want to see that come to fruition as it will devastate not only a serene natural ecosystem, but it's beauty, history, and pure environmental uniqueness. Las Vegas has always lacked in conventional culture, but the culture Las Vegas did nurture was that of its magnificent surrounding natural treasures, namely Red Rock Canyon. Please protect this area always. We are already losing one outdoor recreational area in Lake Mead; it would be devastating to Las Vegas, it's natives, it's founders, it's creatures, caves, and cacti, and lastly it's meaningf boldness to lose the pure majestic reverence of Red Rock Canyon.

Please leave the wild animals and nature alone ! If you develop there , there will air pollution and more light pollution. Animals will encroach the developed area. Then what happens if there is an animal encounter ? The animals are to blame. Once you develop, that area as we know it, is gone forever. And for what, a few tax dollars .
