There is a vast amount of open land for development. It is absurd that the County is even considering to allow a developer to desecrate Red Rock Canyon. Please keep this area wild and free from development.

You've already destroyed half the valley with nothing but homes and junk I live in Vegas for a lot of years and then I left because of my job sent me around the country I've came back and it's nothing like it used to be nothing but crime and crap in the pretty things were here have been destroyed you don't have any water left and you're going to ruin The only thing Worth a dang to go take time to go see and relax at don't do it

Dear County Commissioners,
I am writing to beg you to consider the long term impacts of allowing this housing development. Time and time again this housing development has been blocked, and time and time again, they are trying to find someone to approve it.
Our community as a whole does not want this land turned into a housing development. The beauty of red rock is that it is a rural get away, without any view of the city or development. As a large metropolitan area, we lack enough places close to home to get out of the city. By approving this development, the scenic view shed of red rock will be forever changed. Yes you can see the mine now from red rock, but it hardly contrast from the rest of the hill. If it were to get graded and build upon, it would stick out like a sore thumb. It would allow light pollution to creep into the red rock view shed at night, and would forever set the president that conservation of a scenic view shed, an escape for ALL from the city, is less important than a few rich desires.
Please, for the sake of all our city, all our hikers, our climbers, our mountain bike trails near that area, and our explorers, leave us a valley undisturbed by developers, so we have an escape in the world class red rock. There truly is no place like Red Rock on earth.

This city has so much space to expand don’t do it on top of land that is loved and enjoyed by so many. Land is worth more than just dollar signs. That area brings so many people enjoyment. Look to the north end of the city there is plenty of open land to build on.

Former LV resident that worked on housing developments across the valley. Housing is spreading all across at an alarming rate and the traffic and noise and nature of building housing would absolutely ruin the beauty of Red Rock Canyon which is already being encroached by current housing developments. Not to mention a housing development built there would be strictly for wealthy buyers. This development would not improve the housing crisis, which primarily affects poorer people. Dont let wealthy people ruin the canyon, which is a nice short escape from the bustle of Las Vegas. Housing developers have already been given enough.
