My family owns land in Las Vegas that we consider rural, it is practically the only agriculture neighborhood left in Las Vegas. We used to be able to hunt lizards, toads, and ride horses in any direction. After rezoning our area development took off faster than we could fight against it. Now our little rural neighborhood is surrounded by development on all sides and what made our neighborhood unique and fun as a child no longer exists. I love Red Rock and glad you still get a sense of adventure and nature and still close to Vegas. If this rezoning happens then yes perhaps there will only be 5000 homes now, but within 10 years that number will grow exponentially and another rural element of Vegas will be lost. Please don't let this happen.

Protect our Conservation Areas, there are multitudes of other place in the surrounding Las Vegas areas that can be used for development.

Red Rock, with its stunning, majestic beauty, is one of the reasons I moved to Law Vegas. I love seeing it on my way to work each day. Some things in life are sacred, Red Rock is one of them. To build there destroys the integrity of this city.

I have been living in Vegas for almost 48 years; been running, hiking, climbing and biking in the Red Rocks forever.. I can not believe how busy it is on the weekends now with all of us outdoor folks going there to play.. cannot imagine the impact it would have to have developers destroy our one and only heaven that we have to get out of vegas and be outdoors with so much to do.. I vote NO!!!! Go make your money some where else and not take our fun away. Desiree Locatelli - Las Vegas

Do not allow building in Red Rock. There is plenty of land in Vegas Valley to build on. And there are plenty of homes already in that valley area. Keep Red Rock the sanctuary that we use to get away, without having to drive far.
