My family are regular visitors of Red Rock. It is one of the few places where we can go and enjoy nature away from the city. I urge the preservation of Red Rock. Thank you.

Please do not build here! There is plenty of under developed or undeveloped land within the city, build there.

What makes this place special is that it is away from people and is rural and natural. Please keep it this way.

Development in Red Rock would destroy a beautiful national resource. Vegas is becoming completely over developed as it is!

There are so many parts of the valley that've been destroyed necessarily destroyed by development. We're losing what makes the valley so beautiful. Please help us protect what's left.

Why would you take something so beautifully rural and make it urban? Don't we have enough towns/cities? I know we have an ever growing population and need more land/space, but some things just need to be left as is.

I moved to Las Vegas in 2008, and had a view of this glorious National Conservation Area from my balcony. For reasons outside my control, I couldn't stay in Las Vegas, but in my heart, it is still home.
The idea of wanting to destroy the vistas of this beautiful area borders on criminal. It would uproot the wildlife, disturb the fine gypsum soil, cause dust storms and smog conditions, and threaten the respiratory health of residents with breathing problems.
On every single return to the city, this is a drive I take. Every season is different, every time of day varies. If a housing development goes up, it will lose its beauty and its rural quality. It will no longer feel like an escape from the city, but an extension of a suburb.
There are plenty of suburbs already, and tons of houses in a state of foreclosure. Does Las Vegas truly need more housing? Does Las Vegas need another Lake Las Vegas-type community? The answer to both is "no".
Keep Red Rock rural, Protect Bonnie Springs and Blue Diamond and Calico Basin. If you must build new, please find somewhere else to build, and leave the conservation land as is.

Red Rock is not just a place for tourists, it's a home away from home. Red Rock Canyon is not just any canyon, but a place that allows you to break barriers, build trust & find who you are.
