Support staff are crucial to ensuring teachers , parents and children get the support they need. How are the teachers supposed to do the adhoc stuff that they just don’t have time to do.. surely this is why support staff were recruited in the first instance

Having hardly any staff to run a school is ridiculous and I can already seeing it being detrimental. I’m a parent of 2 children at the school and for multiple reasons during any given week I call and speak / liaise with office staff about my children. Firstly, I feel sorry for whatever staff member they employ for the role for peanuts to do x5 the amount of work and secondly as soon as I physically feel the issue affecting me as a parent I will most definitely be looking to change my child’s school which no doubt a lot of parents will do. Then there will be no schools for your trusts in the first place. The admin staff do a lot of work and it’s evident to everyone. Very wrong mistake will be made in doing this

I think this is absolutely disgraceful - having worked in a fabulous Reach2 admin team and understanding how each and every person is fundamental to their own role, the fact that they are now trying to officially over burden their staff is unfair. The amount of hours in the day is not reflective or equivalent for the way the team I worked in went above and beyond their role. If Reach2 feels this is the right decision; by putting hard working individuals out of their livelihood then it reflects on the academy Reach2 has become. If this goes ahead, it will be the downfall of the Reach2 trust - the administration in each school keeps the institution itself running. The Education sector is already struggling and placing the extra pressure on staff is only going to make it worse. I am if sure of there was a restructure of salaries starting from the top down, it would solve the issue - food for thought.

RFA would not be complete without our passionate, dedicated staff that work so so hard who know every child, every adult and they are the back bone of our school. They are not just admin staff, they are individuals who have empathy and are kind hearted and are ambassadors of our school and everyone who comes or visits they set president.
To take that away would be detrimental to every individual, and every aspect of running the school.
WE ARE FAMILY THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT !!

I cannot believe what they have chosen to do. My mum and all the admin staff go above and beyond for their work and it’s absolutely appalling that they have been treated this way.

personally think it's awful behaviour by Reach2 specially in this times we need them and our children need it because because that become a safety issue considering they are the main point of contact for 100s of parents.

The school admin team is already stretched as it is, they cannot function on only 2 members of staff - how can they adequately do all the admin for school, finance, wrap around care, and clubs etc…whilst looking after sick/injured children and dealing with parent/business matters? The admin team do a great job and minimising them down to 2 staff puts children at risk.

Office staff at RFA are very important to this community. From day of of this school opening they are the first faces people see when they visit or need to go into school for whatever reason.
Those that have been there the longest such a Debbie and Claire.S and the newer ones ate important and I couldn’t see the school functioning without them.
Teachers already have a lot on their plates.

Reach2 has taken a horrendous decision that didn’t considerate at all how it will affect the schools. They should have passed some kind of consultation period taking in consideration all parties to be affected

This is ludicrous!! A school cannot function without a fully supported admin team. Not only will this affect the children and their well-being but this will also affect your staff’s well-being. There’s already pressure on the school to keep up to a high standard and good reputation, this will cause more pressure and everyone will suffer. Reach2 values are not being adhered to!!

The office staff are a vital part of the smooth running of the school. Without them the level of care and wellbeing of the children and the wider community will suffer. To have less staff prospective parents will be met with overworked and stressed office staff, is that really what Reach2 want the image of the school to be?
