This news has shocked and saddened me. The RFA’s admin team are the heart of the school, being a vital part of how well this school runs. Being a part of this wonderful team for four years, I know first hand how hard everyone works. Reach2 please reconsider this decision as I believe this is going to be detrimental to the RFA community.

Experienced and helpful office staff are essential to keep the school running smoothly, and enable teaching staff to teach. Maybe Reach 2 should look at the cuts that could be made at head office, rather than those working day to day in school. This is not the way to treat loyal staff who are committed to the school and do a first class job.

Sorry but I disagree with the plan to decrease the office as I have a son with additional needs I find the so helpful in regards to getting my son in the staff in there do a wonderful job and go above and beyond to help make the mornings a little less stressful for us both

School needs office staff to help students and parents throughout the day.

This is an absolute disgrace for the staff's well being and for all school's involved. It is an unworkable situation and will kill the reputation of R2 as somewhere to work or attend as pupils. Watch your back! Who will be next? The trust has gone.

Signing because I believe it will amount to safety issues around the children due to shortage of staff

Cannot understand how a trust expects to run a school without its most vital components!

The children will suffer because of short sighted penny pinching!

The admin staff at RFA are extremely knowledgable, very organised, professional and kind. They are an essential members of the school team. I don’t think the school will run as efficiently with just two members of admin staff!

Unbelievable that they can treat their staff like this. Money before people.

The office staff at our school are very much needed. I can’t see how our school would run without them. We actually need more staff in our schools, not less. I get that reach is a business but to make staff redundant that have been there for 20+ years is shocking

To get rid of these staff is such an incredibly short-sighted thing to do. Office staff are the beating hearts of schools - pupils, parents, teaching staff all rely on them for their knowledge of all things school-related. Their compassion for the children is endless. To expect less staff to do the same amount of work is just ridiculous- there will be no time for compassion and caring and this will impact negatively on all stakeholders. Please rethink this plan.

What a disgusting way to treat loyal and valuable staff

I wonder if the small financial gain will be enough to justify the loss of valued and experienced staff, known to the community and trusted within the school.

I do notbelieve the effect of this short sighted policy will have on pupils.

All the staff that are affected are a vital part in the running of the school. It is wrong that the Academy are merging these jobs as each job is a full time job and this is going to have a huge impact for the school

Support your admin staff, they keep a school going

They are the first port of call for most parents and are always helpful in pointing parents in the right direction, they do a lot more support for staff than people think, I've never come across an unhelpful admin staff in school and I worked in them for nearly 20 years, and when a new head teacher comes into a school who are the first people they ask for help? It's the admin staff

There goes the OFSTED rating…not a smart move by Reach2. The teaching staff and, most importantly, the children will suffer. If this takes place the lovely teaching staff will no doubt have to pick up the slack, causing them to be more stressed and overworked than they already are. This is a safeguarding issue in the making…
