A very interesting and informative blog about the Chinese martial arts. I wish there were more of those.

While in graduate school open discussion was encouraged and it helped to explore scholarly research areas that may not have been known to the group. Keep up the good work!

I have never heard of a Wordpress blog having to defend their purpose or any requirement that blogs contain any amount of scholarship. Nonetheless, this blog is clearly educational in its content and by no means should it be taken down.

The author of the blog is very knowledgeable and I can see no justifiable reason to take it down. Anything I have read is both interesting and seems very accurate. It does go somewhat against the somewhat orthodox views of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts that some want to portray. Again I don't see that as a problem at all as what I have read does not inspire hatred of any kind but an analytical thought on current Chinese Martial Art practices. Let him follow his passion, please.

This blog is one of the best blogs on martial arts on the planet. The blogger is highly educated in Chinese language and history - and in particular in the history and development of Chinese martial arts. His knowledge sometimes produces revelations that are uncomfortable for some, when facts - historical facts, are presented to them for the first time. The loss of this blog would be a disaster for martial arts today. The motivation of anyone complaining about this blog is entirely suspect. The closure of this blog would be an act of disgraceful censorship.

Word Press should be in the business of encouraging thinking, writing, not suppressing it.

This is ridiculous. David Ross is a serious martial arts teacher and researcher. If it's that easy to smear someone off WordPress just because you disagree with their perspective on martial arts, then something is wrong with the WordPress system.

It's a very interesting blog with some quality research on otherwise poorly documented topics, at least in English.
