We have enjoyed hiking along the Santa Margarita River Valley trails for many years and now we take our grandsons hiking on the trails. It is a beautiful place that is close to the city but feels miles away.

This trail system needs to be kept open for the public to enjoy. As an equestrian in San Diego County, I hope this effort to save the trails will be successful.

My son and I have been coming here since he was 4. He's now 8, and we love it here. We come at least 2xs a month. Please don't make this magical place away. So many smiling faces have joined us over the years and love it too.

I just discovered this wonderful trail. My family enjoys hiking here. It is a special place where one can hike and ride in the same area.

To remove that access would be a slap in the face to all humans. Ive spent a good part of my life on those beautiful trails.

So many of our beautiful equestrian trails are being sold. We need to preserve what is left.

This unique and special ecosystem is very special to all of us San Diego County residents!! The river and trails are in desperate need of preservation for all users, including equestrians. Please maintain the current public use!!

This is such a beautiful trail. Please keep the trails open for equestrians, bikers and hikers. We need these peaceful retreats.

I just found out about these trails today which blew me away at how great they are, full of plant and animal life and a great way for people to get away from it all while being right next to town. Places like this are important for the community and especially for the next generation

I so enjoyed walking on the trail. It is a wonderful refreshing piece of nature in our 'backyard'. It is so peaceful to bel able to spend time there listening to the wild birds and see an occasional wild animal. The valley 'belongs' to the people who want to enjoy it. Please don't take this privilege away from us. What a great asset it is for our community. Thank you for not restricting its access.

My sister, my granddaughter and I enjoy riding this trail and would like to continue to do. It is shady and cool in the hot summer months and offers several water crossings rarely found elsewhere.

My wife and I ride the SMART on a regular basis and enjoy meeting fellow horseman to share this special place in SD County. Far too many areas like this have been lost due to similar transactions!

I was born in Fallbrook...please keep the trails open for all. Let's not have even more habitat loss. Open spaces are good for everyone!
